FEATURED POEM:

UniversaL Truth

(Copyright © Janette Wighton)

Peeling an onion is a good analogy,

for laying bear the Truth – the actuality.

Layer by layer you need to strip away,

till what’s left is the reality of what you do and say.

In this world of illusion, appearances are deceptive.

So, see through appearances – be perceptive.

Understand that another’s reality may not be yours,

so honour their point of view, make no judgement of its cause.

Go within for your answers where the real Truth resides.

Make decisions from your heart where All That Is abides.

The illusions of this world give us sign posts to grow,

helping us learn the lessons that we need to know.

Understand that this world is not your reality.

It’s the spiritual world that is your actuality.

So listen to your conscience, act always with Love,

and say only what you want to be heard by God above.

For Universal Truth is truth without deception,

the reality of life without exception.

FEATURED ARTICLE:

In this time in our evolution, with the awakening of the feminine power, I thought you  might find this article inspiring:

The following article is from Ode Magazine, USA.  It is an article by Lisa Witter, chief operating officer and Lisa Chen,
a senior vice president at Fenton Communications, a US public interest media relations firm.  They are the co-authors
of The She Spot:  Why Women are the Market for Changing the World - and How to Reach Them.

THE NOT-SO-SECRET SECRET TO CHANGING THE WORLD

The 1994 genocide in Rwanda left the country in tatters, its future fraught with uncertainty.  Of the more than 800,000
people killed, most were men and boys.  Rwanda's remaining population was 70 percent female.  Fast forward to the
present day:  The economy has revived and is holding steady.  Major road arteries between cities and outlying villages,
which were destroyed, have been rebuilt.  Today, the Rwandan lower house of Parliament is nearly half female, the
highest percentage of women in any parliament worldwide.  Girls are attending school in record numbers.

The women of Rwanda are behind one of the most inspiring comeback stories of national transformation in recent history.
And while their story is dramatic, it's not unique.  Indeed, in the field of international development, women have emerged
as the not-so-secret secret to changing the world.

As former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has said:
"If there is one lesson we in the United Nations have
learned over the years, it is that investing in the most productive strategy a country can pursue - to raise economic
productivity, improve nutrition and health, and educate the next generation."

When economist Muhammad Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his innovative work in micro credit lending, he
made it clear that it was women who make up the bulk of the poor but ambitious small business owners lifting
their communities out of poverty with their entrepreneurialism.  What many people don't realise is women are behind many
of the primary drivers of social change.

In the U.S., for example, women earn 78 cents to a man's dollar, which may lead you to think they give less to charity.
Think again.  In fact, women control over half the total wealth in America, and give just as much as men to charity.  Unlike
men, however, they're more willing to take risks on smaller or new organisations they believe have a strong vision for
change.

Studies show women  volunteer more than men, and since the 1960's  have turned out in geater numbers at the voting
booth.  In other words, women are the single most important market opportunity for changing the world.

Unfortunately, their potential has yet to be fully tapped.  Professionals in the social-change sector, including advocacy
groups, humanitarian organisations and philanthropists, haven't always been thoughtful about targeting women as
partners.  But if more of them did appeal to women, what would it look like?  For starters, it would involve invoking the values
that matter most to them.  Research from sociological studies to the latest in brain science show that above all, women
value connection and community.  For women, it's not about 'me', it's about 'we'.  That means women are less concerned
about the pecking order and more committed to keeping harmony in the coop.

At the dawn of the 21st century, the greatest social and environmental challenges that confront us make these values a
winning blueprint for transformation.  Both globalisation and climate change have already made national borders more
tenuous.  If the reigning ethos of our history as a species has been 'survival of the fittest'. the temperature of today's planet
requires a paradigm shift to 'survival of the connected'.  Women can lead the way.

You don't have to be an international diplomat to take this new ethos to heart.  An important first step is to ditch the niche.
That is, banish the notion that women are a peripheral audience and place them squarely in the centre, where they belong.
Next, engage women by speaking directly to their values and encouraging their active participation.  With women on your
side, you'll both build a community and catalyse the change you want to see in the world.

AS YOU READ THIS ARTICLE, PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION WITHOUT TRYING TO INTELLECTUALISE OR ANALYSE
IT.  READ IT IN A FLOWING MANNER.  THE WORDS WILL FIND THEIR WAY INTO YOUR BEING AND COME TO REST
WHERE THEY WILL BE ACCEPTED, WHERE THEY WILL BE UNDERSTOOD WITHIN YOU, AND THAT MAY NOT
NECESSARILY BE WITHIN ANY CONSCIOUS ASPECT OF YOU TO BEGIN WITH.  IT IS THEREFORE A PROCESS YOU NEED
TO BE PATIENT WITH.

AWAKENING YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF

At this time in our evolution, each one of us must embrace the powerful individual Light that we embody.  This Light is not
only a frequency that illuminates the pathway before you, it is also a frequency that illuminates the inner world within you.
This is the onset of one of the most impoortant journeys of your collective journey.  It is the time of embracing the reflection
of yourself within life.  The Masters have spoken at length on many occasions about your reflection, about how relationships,
and life in general, mirror your inner self.  The understanding of that inner self is a part of your journey of individuation.  By
seeing yourself as an individual, and then linking yourself as an individual to everything else outside of you, you place
yourself in a position to better understand the concept of being one with everything.

The reason why I am asking you to individualise yourself first, and then connect yourself to the external world, is because
initially you run the risk of losing yourself within the realms of the collective.  In fact you could say that that has already
happened.

You are an individual.  You are a human being living on a planet called Earth.  You occupy a space within a realm that has been
created by a system of thought mechanisms.  These mechanisms are not necessarily mechanisms that intend to bring out
the very best in you, however, it is an opportunity for you to bring out the best in yourself the moment that you recognise that
the mechanism has a hidden agenda.  This is often referred to as the programme, the illusion and the matrix.

There are a number of levels to this so called matrix, but each time you see through the matrix you are beter equipped to
remain outside of its influence.  The process of liberating those of you who are ready from the stronghold of that
mechanism that has kept you in your inhibited states to date has been speeded up.  Even those of you who are aware of
this controlling mechanism, you too still have other levels of the matrix that you need to detach from.  All of this is
happening.  It is speeding up as we get closer to the year 2012.

You have heard on many occasions about the Golden Age, the world of golden consciousness;  the journey of alchemy.
2008 is the year of alchemy consciousness, and of embracing the alchemy of consciousness.  This energy is however not
limited to 2008 and will continue to influence you for many years to come.

The gift that you are embracing now is the ability to competely embrace your individuality;  to completely embrace who you
are.  It is time to embrace your ego.  Allowing your ego to become your ally is part of the process taking place at this time.
Embracing your ego, its purpose and its power is a vital part of embracing yourself as an individual;  accepting your
humanness, accepting yourself unconditionally.

Judgement, rejection, criticism and ridicule come about as a result of you fearing yourself.  The minute you reject, criticise
or judge yourself, you are not embracing your individuality.  You are sending the message to the cells of your body that you
are not complete in who you are, and in what you are here and now.  Now that may very well be true, however, it is also
untrue, because in the moment you are everything you can be because tomorrow is not yet with you and yesterday is past.

Fully embracing the individual that you are, and in a way separating yourself from everything in your life, and
completely detaching, enables you to get in touch with who you are and what you are.  This is not something you will
do permanently.  It is simply a moment in time that you will do this, perhaps for a period of time, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and in fact this is the purpose of a retreat.  It is about retreating within, disconnecting from the external world, separating yourself from everything that distracts you from who you are.  So, separation and detachment do serve an important purpose.  This leads to silence, for when you are separated and detached, even distant, you are in a space of at-one-ment with yourself. You are in a place where everything that you are is.  You are standing before yourself, in that space there is nothing for you to compare yourself with, noithing to relate to, nothing pulling you outside of yourself, distracting you and separating you, or distancing you from yourself.

Embracing the individual enables you to embrace the collective from a point of power.  You cannot embrace the collective from a
point of power until you have come into your own power and fully stepped into your truth.  This is what is referred to as your AUTHENTIC SELF.  You will not be able to fully acknowledge your authentic self until you stop and acknowledge your individuality
and, please note, it is individuality and independence therefore the internal, the inner self, the I, that needs the attention first.  You must inspect yourself to gain the information that you require to fully integrate your truth.  In order for you to become involved with life from a point of power, you need to become involved with yourself first.  Involvement allows you to evolve beyond the programs of that controlling mechanism that has led you to believe that you are separate from yourself.  That is where one of the greatest illusions lies, the belief that you are separate from yourself, not just separate from God or separate from Mother Nature or anyone else around you.  You can only feel separate from God if you feel separate from yourself.

In accepting yourself as an individual, accepting yourself as a human being and accepting every aspect of yourself and humanness, you are led into a realm that will challenge your belief systems.  It will push your buttons, it will chanllenge your thought patterns, and most important your perceptions.  Why?  Because you are being asked to look at ourself and to move out of denial into complete acceptance.  It is the oportunity to take responsibility for yourself on a much deeper level.  Bear in mind
that responsibility is simply the ability to respond to yourself, to life.  Your life is an externalisation of what is happening inside of you, often powered more so than anything else, by the subconscious mind, simply because your subconscious mind is the
part of you that never sleeps, the part of you that never misses a beat.  This aspect of yourself holds valuable tools.  In fact, some of your most empowering, soul liberating tools, in other words strengths.  The only way to get there is through yourself.  By this I mean through accepting who you are, geting to know who you truly are, in other words seeing your authentic self, every part of it.  You may ask what does that mean?  What dioes it mean to fully embrace everything that I am?  What is and who is my authentic self?  Your authentic self is everything that exists.

Everything that you feel, as well as everything that you don't feel, is held within your authentic self.  Your authentic self is the part
of you that fears nothing, the part of you that is true to yourself, that is not controlled by fears, judgements, criticisms,
resentments or jealousies.  It is the fully empowered part of you, the part of you that is not affected by the drama of life, that
game that fuels people to react, to be envious, to be jealous, to ridicule, to judge, to gossip and criticise.  It is the part of you that
is not influenced by all the things we have been speaking of that have led to where your world is, to where you are in terms of your pain, your suffering, and your ignorance.,

When you truly embrace your authentic self, it is very powerful, because you then have the potential to liberate yourself from the world you have come to believe is the be all and end all of everything.  In fact, the world that you live in, the world that you look at
every day is a drop within the grander ocean of what truly exists out there.  Earth, third dimensional life, is smaller than a flea in
relation to what exists within you and around you that you do not see, that you do not comprehend.  If you are serious about
liberating your soul, if you are serious about breaking free and changing the life that you have, you may not want to change your entire life.  Perhaps there is just one aspect of your life that needs changing.  How much needs to change is irrelevant.  What is important is the change, and how you are going to make that happen.  The way you do it is by becoming authentic.

How do you become authentic?  Simple, yet you may find it very difficult initially.  I assure you once you get the hang of it, it will become easier.  The very first step in becoming authentic is to accept that you are a human being with so called imperfections and flaws.

You are a person who has fears, judgements, criticisms and dislikes, and all of that is quite okay.  Take some time to acknowledge those feelings, the thoughts and the reactions that you have at times.  Just entertain it for a moment, accept that it is part of you.

The next step is to allow yourself to be true to yourself.  This means implementing the changes that are needed, resulting in what will bring you the peace, harmony, and the space to live your life authentically.  This may very well entail ending toxic relationships, making changes that challenge your comfort zone, asking questions that challenge other people's comfort zones, as well as asking yourself questions that will most certainly challenge your comfort zone and stir up a couple of your fears.  But that is a good thing, because then you are in a position to fully understand what you as an individual fear, what you react to, and how you sabotage your progress.  By denying your fears you are unable to change them.  What you fear may not necessarily be a direct threat to your survival.  What you fear could very well be your power, simply because you do not understand it and you do not know how to use it.  The way you develp a relationship with that part of yourself is by accepting it, welcoming it in, beginning to play with it, experimenting with it, and getting to know it.  You need to get to know yourself.  You need to truly feel what you feel like.

Think of your life up until this poiint and be honest with yourself.  How much of your life contains what you Love?  How much
of your life consists of joy, freedom, passion, inspiration and creativity?  How much time in your life do you spend doing what
brings you joy and happiness?  I am sure that most of you, if not all of you, can quite comfortably say "not much".

The reason for that is because you are spending the majority of your life juggling the balls that hold the programmes of what
you have been led to believe your life should be.  You are living the life that you were led to believe you should be living.  That
does not necessarily mean that it is the life that you truly deserve to live.  Only you can determine that for yourself.

So then, I ask you, what does your ideal life consist of?  What are you doing?  Who is in it?  How will you live that life?  For some of you, you may even find it very difficult to paint that picture.  You might find yourself flustered, thinking "oh my goodness, who will be in it, what will I be doing, how will I do it?"  I am not surprised that you don't know.  The reason why you don't know is
because  all your energy has gone into focusing on what you should be doing.  All the dreams, the hopes and the wishes have faded into nothingness.  They have evaporated just like your truth has, therefore your journey from this day forward is to embrace yourself as an individual, to get to know who you are.  The identity that you have claimed as you, what is that all about?  Who is he or she?  What does he or she represent?  What are the thoughts, belief systems and perceptions of your life?

Remember my words.  You cannot fully become one with life until you have completely become one with yourself.  You have
separated from your authentic self.  You have distanced yourself from your truth, the strengths and power that motivate you,
that in fact fuel you on a number of levels, levels that are now dormant.  You are in fact recreating yourself, reinventing the
true you, and that takes time.  It takes dedication.  Are you worth that time?  Are you worth that dedication?  I think that you are.
You need to believe that.

Call to your authentic self to guide you along the pathway of freedom.  Allow your authentic self to show you the various faces
of you.  Look into the mirror where your authentic self stands.

Many times that which you dislike in another is what you dislike in yourself.  This means that it is not something that you
necessarily must reject about yourself.  It is in fact the thing that you need to accept most about yourself.  When you can
embrace that part of you, it is automatically transmuted into Light.  The mirror then reflects Light back at you, because
what was once perceived as negative or dark or disdainful, becomes a strength.  It is the part of you reclaimed,
embraced, retrieved, and now loved.  It becomes one of your greatest allies, and empowers you in a whole new way.  You
will only understand these words, and you will only understand the immensity of that power, once you have done it.  That is
part of the process of reclaiming yourself, of standing within the vibration of the Master, the individual reflecting the individual,
the Master standing before his or herself.  It is the Light meeting dark, dark lookiing into Light, becoming one.  Invest the time
in yourself to bring your individual Light into the world.  The more whole you feel the stronger you will be.  That strength then
becomes a beacon of Light for others, and you will feel stronger within yourself to give of your Light, to give freely of your Love,
to serve unconditionally.

Being an individual is what you are.  You are united with the collective but you cannot operate fully in your power with the
collective until you have recognised what your individual role is.  The ONE must be embraced before you can become one with
all collectively.  The ONE is you, the individual, an expression of the collective ONE.  Sometimes isolating one aspect sheds
light on the greater whole.  I trust that you see the picture?

This journey is one that will reveal to you parts of yourself that have been knocking on your door, looking for your attention,
seeking your acknowledgement, your Love and acceptance.  Give yourself that gift, embrace yourself, everything about you
that you  reject will be rejected by everything else outside of you in one form or another.  So your Light becomes stronger by you transmuting that which is inside of you that you fear.  That is how you grow, that is how you retrieve the aspects of your soul that seek liberation, by you giving it Love, by you saying that you are okay.  It does not matter how many times people in your external
world compliment you or stroke your ego, you will never believe it until you believe it about yourself, until you are able to fully accept every aspect of yourself, Light and dark.

So, invest quality time in getting to know yourself as an individual.  Spend time separate from, detached and disconnected from
the external world and everything that distracts you from you, and determine what it is about you that needs your time and
your attention, and give that to you.  I assure you that the healing that will come from it as a result will automatically lead you in
the direction of the liberation and the change that you seek.
