FEATURED POEM: One With All Things
To be at one with all things is the way we should strive , for to be at One With All Things is how our race will survive. So love your fellow man with all your heart, take him by the hand and your wisdom impart. Draw on the knowledge of all you have learned. Let nature be your teacher, leave no stone unturned. Take notice of the insects, feel the wind, smell the rain. See it all for the lessons and the truth you will gain. Hear the song of the birds, take notice of their play, for if you pay attention to them, you'll learn The Way. See the signs that nature brings, for there you'll find the learning of all great things. For nature's Silence will surely bring, the answers you are seeking to everything. For in nature God has given us all we require, the means to meet every need, every desire. If you will only take the time to see, to live your life in love and in Him just be, and to all creatures great and small, shine your Light as a beacon for the good of all. Drink in the beauty that nature brings, then you will surely be at One With All Things.
FEATURED ARTICLES:
How Oneness and Individuality Need Not Be Mutually Exclusive
Each one of you has a predominating note, according to the pre-dominating planetary influence in your soul.
This means that in your aura, you have a pre-dominating colour, for every note is expressed by a colour.
Every planetary vibration is a colour. The combination of the seven notes of music, the seven colours of the spectrum, brings into being the one grand harmony, the one Divine Light, which is the Light of Christ - Love.
Love then contains all. Love contains wisdom and power. In the Trinity, we find the one pre-dominating note; but if you know perfect Love, you know wisdom; if you have wisdom and Love, you are powerful and have poise. The three are inseparable - Three in One, One in Three is the Divine fundamental note of music, of the harmony of life.
All creatures are of God, and belong to this one grand universal life from which no atom, no tiny heart can be separated. You are all one in this Divine Spirit.
When an individual soul enters at-one-men (which the Buddha called Nirvana) in a sense it loses itself, in that it goes into the ocean of God-consciousness. But it always retains its individuality. Therefore, the descent of the soul into matter is that it may receive full experience of matter and so grow in individuality and in God-Consciousness that in the end it holds mastery over physical life.
Witnessing to the Light by Anna Haywood (an excerpt from Stella Polaris - the journal of the White Eagle Lodge)
To love under all circumstances is the best way to happiness and to a peaceful mind and peace in our world.
Go about life, not condemning anyone, but giving love, even if it be to one thought an enemy. No one can be your enemy. People are your teachers, not foes, and when you feel injured because of apparent injustice, look within yourself and ask, "What is this teaching me, what have I to learn from this?" Then you will begin to see truth, and instead of regarding your brother/sister as an enemy, you will say, "Thank you for you have taught me a lesson and helped me."
His or her motive does not matter, for there is something behind - a guiding hand of wisdom. The great Lord of Karma rules your ways. Apparent injustice can be turned into a jewel in your temple, and some of the deepest sufferings have brought the most Divine truths.
Sometimes to find that love within ourselves is very hard to do, especially when we are confronted with violence. What helps us to do this is to understand why; not just the motive for doing something which causes destruction and hurt, but to understand, at a deeper level, why such things occur both in the world and in ourselves.
Emmanuel is one of the present day spirit teachers. I feel that his teaching resonates well with White Eagle's, and I have great respect for it. When looking at teaching from another source, my criterion for discerning its truth for me is the quality of love that it conveys, because that is the keynote of White Eagle's teaching. Emmanuel says this on the subject of violence.
The way to transform violence back into the beautiful Light force that it truly is is the exquisite task of seeing violence not as it presents itself, but as the force that it will ultimately become. There is a key here for all of you: See even in the most despicable the Divine quality that has become distorted.
What would violence be in its Divine state before it has been twisted into vicious aggression? It is the power to stand and to speak, and to witness to a deep faith in the Light. Violence is a form of witnessing to, but it is witnessing to distortion rather than to truth. There is courage in violence. Don't forget that for one moment. It is stepping out, going beyond the 'should's' and 'shouldn'ts'. It is saying, 'I exist and I must be seen'. Hear that in the context of spiritual teaching and you will find the means by which violence can be transformed within yourself and therefore within the world.
For me, one of the greatest things about these words is the absolute love that they convey for us all. Just as White Eagle says, for example, when talking about the gospel of St. John:
"The quality throughout St. John is love. The gospel is mystical. Love-wisdom is its keynote. It teaches again and yet again that the whole way lies through the mystical and supreme quality of love. It applies love to all human difficulties and problems. In this gospel you have all the difficulties which crop up in your own life - financial difficulties, difficulties of health, difficulties of poverty. To every human problem the answer is love. You cannot go wrong by spraying, shall we call it, the incense of love upon every human problem. Shall we say it another way? To apply love means applying justice because love is justice. It means scrutinising the condition through the spectacles of truth, and being true to one's innermost being. Apply love and you will get your answer.
If you want to get an answer to any human problem, be very still, and thus raise yourself in consciousness.' Imagine, if you like, that you are in the Christ presence. Imagine the character of the Christ-mind and see what you receive. What would he do in similar circumstances? Would he be harsh or would be use understanding, quiet, patient treatment? Put yourself into the mind of the gentle Christ. You will then know what to do in dealing with any problem.
Much violence on a mass scale arises from people standing up for their rights or their lives; trying, in the midst of seeming oppression, to find their voice; or protecting their beliefs against threat and lack of respect. Once can see what is to be admired in someone who will take their faith, for example, to such extremes. One does not condone the violence, but what can one learn from it, as White Eagle suggests we do.
Also, what can we learn about the violence within ourselves? I do not mean that any of us would deliberately hurt someone, but we all must admit to criticism, losing our temper, or the shunning of others, at some time or another. When you consider what White Eagle says about the power of thought, then there could be violence on a mental level there. In the light of what Emmanuel says, what can we learn about ourselves from this? Perhaps that we are feeling powerless at those times we criticise? Perhaps we are trying to witness to our truth, but it has become distorted because we are afraid to speak out? Perhaps that we feel small within?
The important point of what Emmanuel says is that you do not look at yourself with loathing, for that is to see yourself as an enemy. Rather we need to do what White Eagle tells us and say: "What is this teaching me, what have I to learn from this?
White Eagle tells us not to 'stand up for our rights', because God brings all to justice and to right in the end. But that does not mean to say that we shouldn't find loving, respectful ways to speak what is in our hearts, in a way which respects the other person's light and our own. And in tandem, we can learn how to have such self-esteem that we can be silent within, and yet know that we are being true to our Light. Either way is better than feeling afraid or impotent, with all the negativity that can lead to. Violence of any kind, is often a last resort, and we need not to let it get that far.
Jesus, when he was being scourged and vilified, did not fight for his rights, but neither did he retract his position. He respectfully repeated that he was the Christ. And then he remained silent, secure in his own self-awareness.
It is through our own self-awareness that we will bring peace on Earth. Through sending out the Light, but also through being lovingly mindful of ourselves, we raise the consciousness of humanity. Teachers like Emmanuel and White Eagle help us to do this not by judging us, but by seeking to help us understand the problems of our society, like violence, from a deeper spiritual perspective - without guild for ourselves.
'See even in the most despicable the Divine quality that has become distorted'. If we do this for the 'most despicable' and 'our enemies' then we must surely do it for ourselves, see 'the Divine quality that has become distorted'. We are then freed to witness to the Christ Light within, and this is one of the greatest gifts that we can bring to the world.
Why Become a Vegetarian?
Having often been asked this question, I thought it was worth an answer here.
The reason the directors of the Medici Charter became vegetarian was to increase our spiritual vibrations and to truly become one with all things. We do not believe in killing animals for food.
What is the relationship between diet and spiritual well-being?
To keep our spirits alive, we need to consume foods and beverages that have high life-force energy in them. We also need to avoid all products with low life-force. Anything that has been killed or suffered (animal products) has a very low life force. Foods that have been boiled, microwaved, dried, canned, or frozen also have no life force. That is because life can't survive being frozen, boiled, canned, etc.
Anything with pesticides has a lowered life force, since pesticide has the intention of killing within it.
This helped us to eliminate our cravings for low-life force foods and beverages. We eat wholemeal products, and avoid processed foods, and sugar.
Since becoming vegetarian and eliminating the denser foods such as meat, our health has shown a marked improvement and so has our energy .
I am sure that there are many people who feel as we do, however, I would stress that if being a vegetarian causes health problems or distress, then you need to respect your body and respectively eat the meat or fish meals which your physical body can tolerate. Just bless what you eat and give thanks to the creature that provided it.
