We would also like to take this opportunity to further clarify our requirements for entry to these competitions.
For THE 2006 MEDICI CHARTER POETRY PRIZE:
We are seeking poems about ‘LOVE’.
We are asking all you poets out there to submit poems about what love means to you.
It is our belief that unconditional love is the answer to everything.
We are asking you to submit poetry that will perhaps inspire others to develop the attribute of unconditional love.
For THE 2006 MEDICI CHARTER LITERARY PRIZE:
We are asking you to describe ‘YOUR OWN SPIRITUAL JOURNEY’.
Tell us how you first became spiritually aware, the life lessons you have learned, the synchronicity you have experienced in your life that has influenced the direction you have taken in your career or in the life choices you have made, and where you are at spiritually today.
Perhaps you have been influenced by what you have read - by special books that have held meaning for you, or maybe a particular person or philosophy has influenced the spiritual direction you have taken.
We would like you to share your spiritual experiences with our subscribers, in 1500 words or less.
It is our belief that sharing your experience, and the experiences of other entrants, will benefit other seekers on the Spiritual Path.

'The Law of Love'

If the people of Earth could only see, the way this planet is meant to be,
and open their eyes and see God’s Plan, and know the love He has for His children, for man.
God is love, that’s all you need to know, for He sent His only Son to tell us so.
But man in his wisdom chose to ignore,the Word of God that would open every door.
And now the time has come to pass, when man must choose a life to surpass
all that has ever gone before and stand in truth, in love, in God’s Law.
So take your life and make it whole, and unconditional love should be your goal.
Make God’s Law a part of you, in all you say, in all you do.
For love will comfort, love will heal, love will make your life’s purpose real.
Stand in your power, have no fear. Feel His presence ever near.
For when earthly cares are set aside, and in God’s love you do reside,
life will be filled with joy and laughter, and the doors will open to the Hereafter.
So children of Earth heed His Word. The time is now for the call to be heard.
Love is the moral of this story, the way to attain the Greater Glory.
For when you His children make love your all, walk the Path with pride and stand tall,
Heaven’s doors will open wide and in God’s loving arms you will all abide.
FEATURE ARTICLES:
'UNCONDITIONAL (UNIVERSAL) LOVE'
Love is the most pure and powerful of all vibrations through all of creation. It is the very essence of God.
Everything, every molecule, every atom, every biological entity throughout the Universes of Creation has been created through the Divine Universal Love of God. This must really be something special don’t you think? A love that does nothing but eternally give and give and asks nothing in return – except for you to feel that Love.
Love is the full power of creation and the all-consuming power of the Holy Spirit. WOW! What a concept that is for the human mind.
Our cultural conditioning and belief systems seem for the most part to determine how and what we love. We have forgotten, or are in denial, that we are a Divine Aspect of the Creator and that we do not need to look outside of ourselves to find this Divine Love.
Throughout our human evolution, we have in our human minds distorted the purity of the Divine Universal Love and tried to make it into a human thing. We have taken the Light out of it.
In doing that we chose to accept that love is conditional and limiting. Then, by simply uttering and accepting the words ‘conditional’ and unconditional’, we changed the vibration and purity of Divine Love into the density of human emotion.
It is time to let go the belief of suffering, limitation and pain.
This statement does not apply to everyone, as there are those Divine Humans out there who have genuinely made the choice to create from a place of love, bliss, devotion, attraction, inspiration, and Love of God and humanity.
Be aware that when we make the decision to change and to vibrate at a higher frequency, we undoubtedly affect the others around us. Others may not like the changes we have initiated, and this includes family. They may fall by the wayside not wanting to make changes. That may be very painful, but that is their choice and that is okay. They just need to know that our love for them will never cease, regardless of their choices.
So, do you dare to give yourself permission to shift your consciousness into a higher way of perceiving Love?
Love is not a human concept. It is a Divine way of being and feeling. It is pure energy. It does not bring emotions into play – that is strictly a human trait created by the ego as a form of protection and control.
Permit yourself to expand your consciousness and tap into and feel that flow of Divine Universal Love as it flows through the whole of the Cosmos.
To begin the process of expanding your consciousness, simply speak your intent and accept that there is a Higher Way of Loving. This Love flows with the same intensity and has the same effect now as it did at the beginning of time.
If you do this, you will begin to experience a Love that has the courage to be. It is a Love so real that it requires the full opening of the Heart Centre because this Love requires that it radiates from the heart of your entire being.
Activation of your Heart Centre begins with a feeling almost like a warm buzz in the vicinity of the physical heart. It is not always the same for everyone – some feel it more intensely than others, and some feel little at all physically.
This activation allows you to vibrate higher than the physical level and you know you are achieving the desired effect when you begin to feel a quiet peace at the very core of your being. You feel absolutely calm even if everything and everyone around you is falling to pieces.
This peace brings about a State of Grace. It teaches you how to draw the Creator’s Love from the very depths of your heart and radiate it out to others. You begin to see the Creator in the hearts of others. You begin to treat others, and most importantly yourself, with Love and dignity.
It infuses you with overwhelming Love, Joy, and Music in your Soul and makes you want to sing, write, dance – anything to let everyone know how you feel. It elevates you above the physical and that frees you and allows you to fully absorb the Divine Universal Love of the Creator.
Spiritually we are responsible only for ourselves and our own progress on our path to enlightenment.
When we open our hearts to always love one another unconditionally, in doing so we love the Essence of God.
‘KANYINI (CONNECTIVENESS)’
Recently I had the privilege of seeing the magnificent documentary ‘Kanyini’ which means ‘connectiveness’.
I highly recommend this wonderful, insightful film as a ‘must see’ for every Australian.
Following the movie, in my meditation, I received the following message which I share with you as food for thought:
“Have you considered that like the Tibetans who went through such a horrific upheaval in their country in order to fulfil their Divine contract to bring Buddhism to the West, that the Australian Aboriginals may have contracted to do a similar great service for the raising of consciousness and the evolution of humanity and your beautiful planet?
“The oldest known civilisation (over 40,000 years) perhaps these beautiful beings contracted to teach ‘connectiveness’, or as you may say ‘at one with all things’, and respect and love of Mother Earth, and the plant, mineral, and animal kingdoms, and all beings, to the white population of Australia.
“The successful implementation of this in Australia will result in a beautiful lesson for the rest of humanity.
“Australia is a vital part of Mother Earth, and you have chosen Australia as your birth country. If YOU understand this lesson and pass it on, especially to your children, then the contract of these beautiful beings will succeed and the pain and sacrifice of their people will not be in vain.
“It is not about right or wrong. Rise above this and see the Higher meaning.
“Begin in your schools and in your homes by teaching your children a love and respect for Mother Earth, the environment and all God’s creatures and their fellow human beings.
“And above all, honour those precious Aboriginal souls who died and those who suffered so terribly to bring this lesson to the Australian people and to the rest of humanity.”
In a second meditation I received the following:
Consider the Higher Meaning:
“Has the displacement of the Aboriginal people from their tribal lands, where they are often forced to share some other tribes land, come about because their Dreaming is segmented into tribes and jealously guarded.
“Is it that they are being put onto land together to learn to live as ‘One People’ – with one shared belief, a perfect example of ‘ONE WITH ALL THINGS’ not only for white Australians, but Humanity as a whole.”
